Common Uses in DogsThis herb is safe and mild and it can be used as a sedative even for puppies to alleviate anxiety and insomnia. The herb tea or tincture is useful for indigestion, gas, and vomiting. It's calming property is particularly helpful for cases of indigestive upset resulting from anxiety, nervousness and hyperactivity. A cooled water infusion of the flowers is an excellent topical rinse for the treatment of skin inflammations such as those caused by fleabites, contact allergies, and various bacterial or fungal infections. A quick and easy way treat a dog with inflammed eyes is to steep a chamomile tea bag, let it cool down to a comfortable temperature, soak the tea with a clean cloth and apply it over the dog's eyes several times a day..PrecautionsAlthough this is one of the safest herbs, some dogs are allergic to the plant, so please check for sensitivity first before applying it to your dog.
