Is my dog really allergic to our cats? After 5 years?

My Black American Field Lab, who just turned 7 and has been living with our three cats for 5 years is now allergic to our cats!? We have done an allergy test that shows a few trees and the cats.
It all started in July when she scraped her bum (base of tail area) on a tree while we were hiking. We thought it was a blood infection, but no. The itching, scratching, biting continued. Then we thought it was some type of mite, lots of testing, no. Lots of baths in the meantime with Neem, Neutrogena T-gel and other natural shampoos - all helpful but no cure. Now we are down to allergies..??!!
I am at my wits end and have had success with natural care and acupuncture for her. Any other stories out there where someone has had similar problem and success? Please help.
