Dog with Mast Cell Cancer and Leukemia

Mollygirl is a lab/greyhound mix, 11 years of age. She is a beautiful and sensitive girl.
Mollygirl was diagnosed in April with mast cell cancer and leukemia.
I do not want to put her through, nor unfortunately can I afford to put her through chemo at this late age. So I have opted to treat her with prednisone (I hate doing it) but it makes her comfortable and is prolonging her life, I supppose.
Yes, she has gained weight - she could eat a house - but she continues to take walks with me and Ben (her boxer brother) and swims in our pool when she is hot.
She is also suffering from rectal prolapse. Does anyone out there deal with this too? It comes out about an inch after straining and goes back in after about 5 minutes. She is on benefiber to help and flaxseed oil but it is a problem for us and continues to worsen.
I know she is on the decline, but I am just trying to save her some dignity and comfort. It's not fun growing old for any of us.
Thanks for any input.
