Bandit

Bandit is a 13 year old English Pointer who loves bird hunting. In this October 2008 picture, Bandit is pointing birdies at a large pet store chain where we were about to learn some grave news. The resident Vet informed us that Bandit had an enlarged heart, caused by a cancerous tumor. Additionally, he would probably not make it through the night. They recommended we put him down or take on an aggressive treatment with a pet oncologist. We chose a different route with homeopathic medicine. Today, November 2009, Bandit is still with us! He has gone through quite a fight. Since the picture was taken, he's gone from 60 lbs to 40 lbs and back up to 55 lbs. He's gone from stopping every few steps to catch his breath during his daily walks to running, jumping and playing. Homeopathic treatment and prayers are the reason he is still around today. |
